Foundation courses may be waived with approved undergraduate or graduate equivalent classes.

Content Concentrations and Methods Classes (18 hours)

EDUC 606 Planning & Organizing Instruction in Middle Grades Education
EDUC 625 Culturally & Educationally Responsive Pedagogy
EMAT 642 Content Area Reading and Writing: Literacy Development for Middle Grades Education/Secondary Education
EMAT 622 Curriculum & Instruction: Middle Grades Education
EMAT 689 Educational Assessment and Research

Language Arts
EMAT 644 Teaching Language Arts/Middle Grades Education

Field Experiences (13 hours)
