Immerse yourself in the classroom
To prepare students for success in their future classrooms, Mercer’s Tift College of Education equips students with field experiences in local schools. Throughout the teacher preparation program, students complete a variety of field experiences, including the pre-practicum, practicum, and student teaching or internship.
Field experiences are coordinated through the Office of Field Placement. During field experiences, teacher candidates are immersed in diverse classroom settings to observe current teachers, participate in classroom activities, and gain experience in teaching. Additional fees will be assessed for each field experience course.
