Dr. Jonathan Patterson
Dr. Jonathan Patterson is the superintendent of Fayette County Public Schools and a native of metro Atlanta. He started this career as a high school science teacher and coach in 1995, then served as assistant principal, principal, and associate superintendent in Gwinnett County Public Schools. Dr. Patterson is a graduate of West Georgia College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. He earned his Specialist in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Mercer University.
