Supporting education and innovation
Mercer’s STEM Education Innovation (SEI) Lab serves as a resource for STEM educators, producing scholarly information designed to support the development of educational practices and policies. Its work is focused on advancing innovation, equality, economic development, and social engagement through STEM education in the United States and abroad. The SEI Lab examines methods for advancing STEM education through innovations in practice and policy to improve educational outcomes and engagement for all people, implements educational programs, and disseminates information concerning research-based best practices.

School districts across the world are rapidly adopting innovative learning technologies to enhance the quality of STEM instruction by augmenting the ability of teachers to engage students in immersive learning experiences that anchor content knowledge and develop skills such as STEM literacy, critical thinking, team building, innovation, digital competency, cultural awareness, and entrepreneurship.
Research
School districts across the world are rapidly adopting innovative learning technologies such as aquaponics systems. Research for STEM education greatly enhances the quality of STEM instruction by augmenting the ability of teachers to engage students in immersive learning experiences.
