Biography

"Dr. Catherine Gardner has served 33 years in public and higher education.  She has authored and developed grants centered on middle grades, culturally responsive teaching, and science/math partnerships, totaling over $775,000. She was involved in the development of the ECSP program and the revision of the MGE program. As Chair of the Regional Academic Programs at Henry, Newnan, Douglas, Atlanta and Forsyth, Dr. Gardner led the development of the Tift College of Education¹s first online program (M.Ed. in ECE), and then led the development of the EdS in ECE online program. She currently teaches in the ECAE, ECSP, M.Ed in ECE and EdS in ECE programs. Dr. Gardner is also an auditor for CAEP/NSTA auditing programs for accreditation.  Dr. Gardner has presented at over 30 international, national, regional, and state conferences."

Teaching

"Professional Development, Curriculum, Instructional Technology, Health and Safety for the Young Child, and Classroom Management. In the past, Dr. Gardner has taught science methods ECE, MGE and Secondary for preservice teachers."
